We’ve been big fans of Lottie Dolls since we first came across them a few years ago. Lottie and Finn are super cute, dinky dolls with a childlike figure, designed to empower children to be themselves, imaginative and adventurous.
My girls especially love the range of accessories available for Lottie. They both play beautifully with their collection of Lottie dolls, and I’ve even borrowed them as props for activities for school, like this map for Little Red Riding Hood game.
Between now and January 15 2017 consumers can visit www.ToyAwards.org to vote for their favourite toys.The winners will be announced in February 2017.
Lottie Dolls have been nominated as the top 7 toys of the year in their category, ‘dolls’ and ‘action figures’.
The nominated dolls have been inspired by real-girls and women; and are focused on STEM activities. Stargazer Lottie is named for ‘Doll of the Year’, and Fossil Hunter Lottie is nominated in the ‘Action Figure of the Year’ category.

Either, they’re such fab dolls! I used to tell my girls bedtime stories about themselves in the future, different, every time, sometimes they were a successful business woman, sometimes they were a hippy travelling or an engineer, diver, refuse collector – It’s so good to have dolls that inspire girls to do something other than play dress up!
